Default samsung 24 lcd problem

i recently purchased a 24" samsung lcd now the problem i am having right now is that the screen keeps saying that it should be recommended to be scaled at 1920X1200 but i cant seem to switch to that scale thorugh my desktop nor catalyst. I have a sapphire hd 4830 and the specs do say it can run on 1920X1200 on a single DVI. I have downloaded the latest catlyst from ati and updated the drivers so i am stuck right now help!.

There could be an option that hides options that the monitor doesn't support (such as higher refresh rates, resolutions, etc), if there is, uncheck that and for some reason it could've been confused and hid the wrong settings. That'll make 1920x1200 res appear, manually choose that..

That's all I can think of. Not sure if that'll work but look around for that option, I have seen it before. (I use nvidia, though)

well i figured out how to get 1920X1200 working by installing the monitor drivers. but when im in 1920X1200 mode i dont get a full scale within the monitor its more zoomed into one large section and i have to hover the mouse over to see the other parts. Ive been able to work with 1680X1050 perfect scalling and all. any idea with that problem?

Try to the AUTO function see if that doesn't fix the issue, if not you'll have explore the more advanced functions of the OSD. If you list the model number of the monitor people might be able to assist you better, because they might have the same monitor.
