Default need a good repair shop.

Anyone know of a good computer repair place that could fix a 8800 gtx. The screen gets all screwed up with yellow and pink lines running vertically and horizontally, I reinstalled it's drivers, but it would still look distorted. Error 'code 43' kept popping up....don't really know whats wrong with it, but I believe it's hardware related. I threw in an old 7300 gt, it worked without a hitch. I never registered it within 30 days and screwed myself over with the warranty. If you have a solution or know of a good computer shop in the fraser valley somewhere please let me know.

thanks
-Derek

I see from your SIG that you have a BFG card those are lifetime warranty give them a call and they will replace it.

Yup exactly what I was going to say. I'm sure you can do it all online too.

Not sure if you MUST register it. They might just need to see a proof of purchase. No harm in trying.

I didn't register my Diamond card and they still accepted it for RMA, though it took 2 months, but at least I got a working card back.

He said he did not register it in 30 days, now I know from experience that XFX wont give you your lifetime warrenty if you do so, but maybe it is not the case with BFG ?

In any case, I would try to give a call to BFG and see what they can do for you. I never had a problem doing GPU RMA with them.

I guess i'll call them first. I have the proof of purchase so they might be a little more lenient.
