We did experiment with no rebates on a few products for a short period in a couple of stores.
It showed sales went down unfortunately, even over a fair amount of time.

We had to keep them around to compete.

Thanks for the tag, much better then seeing rookie

I have no problem with MIR's as long as the company honors them.

Greg is actually very helpful when it comes to rebates.

I placed an order @ NCIX and I wasn't sure if it was going to be processed in time. I e-mailed Greg and asked him what I should do and he took care of the whole thing! (I know have a status-now.com tracking number)

I hope my HIS and OCZ MIR's come in...OCZ I can complain to Ryder @ OCZ but HIS I don't know of any reps....and in my experience when you call them they don't help you too much...

don't worry about not recieving a MIR from Mushkin as long as Greg is around!

No one likes not getting their rebate.
I personally have never used a rebate, mostly due to filling out all my dads rebates as a kid, and how little actually arrived.
But with a mushkin rebate, I am pretty tempted, I know my rebate will arrive, even if it does take longer then expected.
I am always happy to help anyone get their rebate, when issues happen that would mean otherwise.

I don't think I've ever got the cash, does getting the wife to fill'm out work that good?

Well works for me, when filling out the forms everything and I mean everything has to be perfect, I think it was XFX that had a spot for your street address BUT in tiny letters at the bottom(i.e. the Terms) it clearly stated that if you included your street address then the form was void,

That’s nuts!
If you include the address its void, and if you don’t, they don’t know where to send it?
Maybe we should tattoo Reps!
So we don't have to go looking for them, thats what front line guys are for.

Hmmmm, I could ask to be a Matrox rep. but I don't think the real reps. and product support technicians would enjoy that much, lol. I'll just stay as I am I suppose.

No they send it to the "mailing" address

It has nothing to do with the Reps really, remember that they are not the ones that write up the documents.

I'm pretty sure that the MIRs have almost nothing to do with the manufacturer either. They contract out the job, and some of the contractors think along the same lines as an insurance claims adjuster... if they can find a reason to deny the claim, they will.

Since we're offering special tags to our reps, what about a sticky thread with links to PM all current reps? (I'd also include DC_Support even though he's not technically a manufacturer rep).
