Default Checking subscribed threads for activity

Hi Guys,
I'm sure it's been covered, but I can't find the answer.

Is there any quick way to see which threads I've posted in have
new activity after my post?

The only way I know of now,
is to click on "Find all posts by tomek"
then check each thread for new posts manually.

Is there anyway to "subscribe" to threads?
Would that help show which thread has new posts in an "overview"
without having to check each thread?

PS
great forum BTW!

Any member that replies to a post that you have created, or in a thread you have personally replied will trigger an email notification. That's how I know a reply has been made in one of my thread subscriptions.

If you wish to subscribe to a thread without having to reply, you can use the option of "Subscribe to the thread" in the "Thread Tools" tab at the top of the original post.

I've now set Default Thread Subscription Mode to Instant Email notification.
I'll also try subscribing to threads via your described method. that should help!
No way to "auto-subscribe" I guess eh?

Thanks allot!

Tomek.

Auto-subscribe? Unless you can do that at the folder level, I don't think so.
My pleasure. Did the email notification work?

The email notification also depends on how quickly your own email software auto-updates.

I see this thread under "subscribed threads", but nothing under the "notification" column on the right, or in my email.

Here is the setting I altered:

When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread. Do not subscribe No email notification Instant email notification Daily email notification Weekly email notification Default Thread Subscription Mode: Instant Email notification

Are there some other options I should be checking?
Sorry to be so dense, this stuff is a little difficult to describe clearly.
I appreseate you hangin' in there w/ me!

Should the "notification" value be changing under "subscribed threads"?

The "notification" column should say instant. Try to log out / login. It may be as silly as that.

still no go,
but it does looklike you can have auto-subscribe enabled:

When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads,
with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.

Do not subscribe No email notification Instant email notification Daily email notification Weekly email notification Default Thread Subscription Mode:

Thanks again for your help,
I'll muck around w/ the settings a bit more.

Tomek.

-edit:
OK just clued in. I can simply subscribe to all the threads I post in,
then check my subscriptions every now and then. If I'm not the last poster,
I'll know someone replied. Sorry, long day today.
Looks like it took a bit for "auto-subscribe" to kick in.
Thanks again, Tomek.

I just use the "view new posts" function, and from there, any thread I've made a post into will show up with an arrow in the thread icon.
