Default Amount of posts per thread

Why such a low amount of posts per thread (10?) that to me seems really low compared to the VB/IPB default of 10,20,30,40

Last time I asked it was because it reduces load on the server, which was an issue at the time.

If you have it set before they changed the options available, it's grandfathered. Don't change it, because the new option is 10, 10, or 10 posts per page.

Just to add on a question as well for example, if I made 10 post in the rants section. I can't post anymore after 10?

No (I don't know thouogh). What I'm asking is I can only see 10 posts per thread (like this) with no option to change it. I was wondering why. By default the forum software (Vb) and some different forum software (IPB) allow users to have 40 posts per page -- so they have get to see less 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 60th page threads. But it creates more load on the server.

Your question was already answered... to lower server loads.

Only moderator limits for folks making a BST posting run...... ;)
