Gooogle+doubleclick+BS

Wow.

You guys need to ditch the effing google.doubleclick.BS crap.

I run current IE,up to date etc.....The ONLY error I consistently get is from one of the stupid ads.....gooogle.doubleclick.someotherbullshite .

I get a continuous spam of that url reloading.

Please fix that.

edit : If you can't fix it , get rid of doubleclick.

I have had doubleclick (or as many of their IP's and characteristic domains/user agents as I can determine) blocked on my systems practically forever.

Nice list! I now love you in a non-threatening manner which causes me to enjoy my cleaned up web surfing pages immensely! Seriously, your post should be a sticky.

Ah I don't generally mind ads.Websites like HWC generate income through ads....hell sometimes I even click on em to check em out.

What I don't like is broken ad scripts that bork my browser.

Ads need to die. I am tired of them. Don't buy the argument websites need them to survive. HWC would not miss a beat if all ads were removed. They purely generate revenue. All the traffic they get from the reviews combines with ads that generate revenue (some even when you don't click) and there is ALOT of money to be made. Now I am not against HWC trying to turn profits for one second. It is their right to earn income and a living from all the work. Just don't expect me to click on or support ads.

Understood Ross but just thought to throw this out there, Ads in general are not bad but how many times has a legit site had a exploitative script? Too many times. Now I am not saying that HWC would do this in anyway BUT the possibility is there, Look down a few posts. Myself I prefer to take my own security in my hands rather than entrust someone else to do it. As I said ad blocker, ghostery, no script, if you want to support a site that has ads, simple add that site ( or specific scripts/bug) to the whitelist. Best of both worlds, protection that YOU control and if you want to support the site by clicking ads then click away. Hell lastweek there was a keylogging script being run on STOwiki (star trek online wiki for the game STO) it happens everyday in places you would never expect.

Used Noredirect before but will try out the others, security is always a good thing.
