Default "Thanks" button

Just noticed the Thanks button beside the quote buttons. Did this just get implemented today or am I behind the times? What does it do exactly? I tried and it looks like it just puts "headshot thanks XXXX for this post" just below the post that is thanked.

It's something new that Gav is looking at... not sure yet if it's going to be a permanent addition..... ;)

TBH I hate these thanks, they clutter up the page and IMO are kinda worthless. I know myself and many others couldnt care less about post count/ thanks count. The only thing that counts is how much beaver you have here.
Gav if you do go with it anyway to make it a profile option? So have it show as default profile but allow the thanks Message to be turned off if a user wanted.
IDK if you can do this with the plugin.

^^ like that?

But I am also thinking it's kinda useless. If I want to say thanks to some one, I can post it or send a PM which is much more appreciated than just pressing a button. IMO.

Heh... like I said, it's something Gav is currently playing with (looking at), so nothing is written in stone, and please keep the comments / suggestions coming.
