MIR Thread

In the Troubleshooting section, you have the “Canadian RMA Experience”.

I'd like to see a similar thread for MIRs, so you can see which companies have a better track record, which ones are delinquent, etc.

Currently, I'm waiting on an MIR from ASUS that was approved November 1, 2011, almost 3 months ago. So I'll never depend on ASUS for a MIR and less likely to consider their products.

I also just submitted a Corsair MIR.

Hmm, good idea. I suggest the "Hot deals" section for that.
Unless someone beats me to it, maybe the criteria can be the following:

Product manufacturer: (e.g. Gigabyte)
Company handling MIR: (e.g. 4myrebate)
Product:
Country MIR letter was sent to:
Amount of MIR: $...
Processing time: (X days / weeks / years / undefined)
Format of rebate: e.g. prepaid card, cheque
General satisfaction:

I only remember 1 MIR process that I did recently, so if someone else can suggest criteria before I decide to make a thread or one gets created... need to go to class in 9 minutes It was one from Gigabyte that took around 4 months.

EDIT2: Maybe we can encompass all non-instant rebates, e.g. Staples online rebates that require you to fill out a form without actually mailing anything...

I started a thread in the Troubleshooting section, since MIRs, seem to be a lot of trouble (to me) and just short of a scam.

3 months, since OCZ MIR was submitted, they said it was mailed out via MC last month. Still nothing...

Last time I'll be buying from OCZ if it requires MIR, since they're phasing out Ram...and also due to this crap

**Update response to OP/DagX**
I emailed Asus a few times to get them to hurry up my MIRs from back when i bought some of their new GTX cards. Ended up with my MIR 2 months after submission. And this was with the upgrade option to the faster method which costs me 2 bucks each.
