Problem regarding the post count...

It seems like my post count stays the same whatever I do (1,772). Even if I decide to delete/post again it doesn't change. I had some trouble in the past also regarding my profile, I couldn't post because my e-mail wasn't valid, but that was fixed. I only noticed this problem yesterday.

Edit: Now it changed to 1,773. So, posts in the off topic section don't count anymore or what ?

Heh... looks to me like it just jumped up to 1773 with this post..... ;)

Sounds like the "appliance repairman curse" to me... you know.... the oven won't work until 5 seconds before the repairman gets to your door, and then stops working again 5 minutes after he's left? :)

I guess that even if you post in the off topic area your post count still stays the same. I can't find any other explication. I feel kinda dumb right now :haha:

shhhhhhhhhhhhh...dont attract attention

but seriously is there a way to have to click to see the post count? ;)

We have changed certain forums section so that posts in them no longer affect post count. Off-topic and B/S/T are part of that.
We are hoping it will help to alleviate problems with spam, and the troubles that have arisen over the "status" that some associate with post count and ideas of padding.

That's good to know, I thought that there was a problem with my account :)

That is actually a very smart move in my opinion. Kudos to the HWC staff for making a positive change.

I believe the BST section was already restricted. Off-topic was added and you'll have to check with Gav to see what else was added.
