Most computer enthusiast websites have very strict restrictions on their BST forums because it is a feature implemented as a service for the communities members, rather than the primary purpose of the website.

It's like store's with the policy "Washroom is for Customer use only"; it is a service for the customers, they're not in the business of providing a porta potty.

100 may be a bit excess IMO.


Another reason, astro_man, that we asked this requirement be imposed is that often there were spamming bots that would actually come in and drop a list of five-finger-discount garbage in the BST section without warning. It had to be stopped, and this limit has helped actually...

I can assure you, that you will NOT be banned for just using the BST forum, provided forum rules are followed. All members are welcome equally, despite which topics they choose (or don't choose) to participate in.


I'd say this thread has run it's course. The OP has been made aware of the rules and their purpose. Thanks to those with quality input.
