/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ What he said. But i wish there were more members from the GVR area that posted in the BST section...

I actually like HWC more than overclock.net. None of those stupid "i own XXXXXX motherboard club" threads.

I'm too lazy to join other forums, and HWC has all the info I need for the most part. I like the close-knit community as well. My only problem is that it feels like it's the same people posting in every thread, and there's no new life. I haven't really seen people join and stay for too long, other than just for the BST forum.

This would be the biggest issue for me, and even though I have said it before in feedback I will say it again: I cannot believe how nice and helpful everyone was to me when I first joined up here!

Personally I like the fact that HWC has a rather small amount of active posters.
Always sad when old regulars stop being regulars and disappear, eh?

Some of us are still around, but when you work 15 hour shifts it can be hard to post.

I must agree, there needs to be an influx of new members willing to share their knowledge. (and some off topic humor )

I found this site through a review, which turned out to be excellent. I read a few other reviews here of the same caliber, then I checked out the forums. All I saw was good stuff. I've never looked back. I used to forum-hop a lot and rarely sign up. I've been online since 1990 and I am active in only two forums, both tech-related. The main reason - I don't like to share my contact info. Secondary reasons - too much conflicting info is confusing. Sticking with one reviewing process, it is easier to digest the information. Also, the trust issue. I know the reviews here are honest. And the ever-present human factor. There's a good "vibe" here. I don't feel that, I don't stay.

Good suggestion would be when new users come and post here, that they dont get snotty "google it" responses to questions. Telling someone to google something means they are usually going to end up at another site, possibly register and make themselves at home.

I wish I had the time to post more often, but I imagine a good number of members are in the same boat as I am when it comes to exams. It's that time of year unfortunately. Throw in a 40 hour work week, and I've barely got time to sleep.
