Default Regional sections?

I wanted to post something to the attention of folks in Ottawa, but couldn't find the right place.

It could add up to a lot, but a regional section for the Ottawa area, GTA, MTL, Vancouver, etc. would be handy.

Just a thought, feel free to flame

I don't think that would be especially useful. HWC is a Canadian community, and we don't need to divide it up into pieces depending on where you're from. If you want to address something to people from Ottawa, just start your thread with "Attention Ottawa:" or something like that.

Just put "Attn: Ottawa citizens" in the forum topic or something...

I think a subsection for location based information would be somewhat usefull. Make several threads, ottawa area, GTa etc. When you see that theres a new post in your area, you check it out.

Ottawa should definitely have a get together, Ive noticed around a dozen active people from around here. Theres been a few in GTA that I would have went to if there was someone going from here.

Good idea, but I don't think we need a separate section for it. Putting stickies in the off topic section might work just as well.

PS: we really should have a get together in Ottawa.

May be better just to use the above suggestions.

For major areas, you could just start to use acronyms [GTA] [OTT] [GVRD] [CAL] [DEADMONTON] oh wait the last one isn't really an acronym
