Im all for EMT as I cant get myself a paypal account setup. My wife and I have just joint bank accounts and given paypal wants exact names that appear on bank statments we couldnt do it. Between our 2 names there is close to 60 letters and the forms just arent big enough for both our names as seen on the statement. Contacted paypal and got no where with it.

I personally prefer paypal over EMT for online shopping and EMT for BST

Paypal lets you pay with a credit card and no transaction fees with online shopping.
But EMT lets you know the money is in your bank account for sure when doing BST.

EMT is a lot more involvement on the receiving end as its not just something that is automatically done and of which why Paypal is MUCH easier.

^ I agree. But if it is possible to get EMT, sure count my vote in too, besides that's the only payment method I use when buying and selling off forums.

Or even like NCIX does it, they have EMT, but also have this Interac payment thing, not exactly sure what it is or how it works..

I think it should be a possible alternative

Some may not be aware that it takes approximately 10 days to transfer money from your bank account to your paypal account if you do not have a credit card associated with your paypal. I rarely use paypal these days except for ebay transactions. I have long since removed my credit cards from paypal's database. NCIX is great when using EMT or interac. I also see some online companies in the US going the interac route.

Not to push this but I have not seen an response from the staff regarding this issue.

SugarJ March 30, 2010 03:39 PM

I would say the lack of response is it's own response. Probably. But I'm not store staff. So don't take my word for it.
