Ability to moderate ones own thread?

Like, say for example I wanted to change the title of a thread I created (like a for sale thread) and I didn't want to annoy a moderator to do it for me (obviously I would imagine it gets very annoying after a while to keep changing thread titles).

Why not grant this ability (a semi-moderator privilege) to members with a high enough post count or something like that so that we can change thread titles and delete inappropriate posts (especially trolls and scammers/lowballers) from our own threads without having to bother a mod to do it for us.

+1 for this idea! It could also be attached to the level system or iTrader rating (or both, or level for everywhere except BST, and iTrader for BST!) so that only the top members are able to get this privilege and spammers can't obtain it quite as easily.

This has been discussed many times over;

1. We Mods need to handle the spammers, in order to verify their IP address and take action. If the reply is deleted, I cannot be aware of said spammer, and may not ban him in time.
2. We cannot allow the thread title change at the member level especially in a FS thread; it would be too easy to change the title to cover a scam.
3. PM'ing a Mod for a Title change is not a problem, and has little to no impact to a Mod's workload.

It takes a whole lot more to bugs us, and I can say this for all 4 Mods. Thread title change is nothing.
