Default Thread 'created on' date

As you all know, when looking through new posts, the thread / thread started by portion looks like this:

Thread name
StartedbyName

I thought it may be nice to have the view include the 'created on' date beside the 'created by' name, like this (emphasis only for illustration):

Thread name
StartedbyName - Created on: thisdate

Whenever I'm looking through the new posts I sometimes like to know whether the reply is to a recently created thread or to a thread that was created months / years ago. This way I wouldn't have to go into a thread to see when it was created.

Thoughts?

The posted date in the top left corner is viewable after you have looked into the thread.
What Mr. Cipher is proposing would allow you to see the creation dates of threads without opening them.
I think it's a good idea.
