Two years: Questionable editorial neutrality and inconsistent diction

I think the OP is a Dink. And this post is his sad attempt at some sort of dissertation.

But I would like to impinge on his good will, if he could possibly correct the punctuation in the following statement

"Seriously, **** off".

Is the comma necessary? Should the 'F' be capitalized?

As mentioned before, HWC reviewers do not do this as a job. As we all know, most of us in this COMMUNITY are here for the fun of it. I personally do not think that there is anything wrong with how a review is written as it is catered for the regular joes and not for the white collar folks like Conrad Black. I am not a very highly educated person and to be honest reading editorial on national paper like National Post creates more questions in my head rather than understand what the editorial is about.

Having said that, comparing HWC's review presentation to other sites or magazines, I personally think it is at the same level as, if not better than, the others. One thing that HWC really stands out is the photos for the reviews, simply awesome. Unlike some review sites that they put the product on a stained table using an el-cheapo camera. And no ads between paragraphs.

Sure, there are a thousand ways to write an editorial or review but how HWC offers it works just right for me.

This discussion should not have been posted here. The appropriate people should have been PM'd with this subject. The OP comes across as a pontificating perfectionist. Having said that, I like the reviews here and have no problem with the way they are written. If I need to read something more verbose I will subscribe to "Better Homes and Desktops".

I've actually discussed how other review sites are less than unbiased with their reviews at length with SKYMTL via IM in the past. Suffice to say, he would not stand for any of that sort of impropriety that other sites have become well known for. I won't mention them, but I'm sure you can figure out which ones I'm talking about.

Sure the english may not be the best, but I never find that much bias ever makes it into the article. I trust HWC articles and reviews, unlike some other publications.

I for one don't find the statement

is recovered with an advantageuously greater quantity:

to be free flowing at all. It's wordy, pretentious and made me think of Niles Crane on the show Frasier.
