HWC hardware survey?

I tried and failed to do a poll, not enough options. I think it would be nice to do a survey, see what is being run by HWC users. Like the steam one.

create many threads, one for each hardware requirement, ie, one for cpus, one for vgas, one for mobos for each cpu maker, etc, etc...

Thats alot of threads... and alot of data for anyone to sift through to make the pie-charts, hehe. There must be a better way....

I could always throw together a simple javascript applet or similar that would be in the form of a questionaire which could dump all the info someplace together.... But it would take some time (my programming skills are rusty).

And how does one propose we keep reporters honest ;)
Self reporting surveys are notorious for being potentially unreliable.
Valve has the advantage they they have software installed on your PC to validate and verify results ;)

An good concept though, it would be very interesting to have a page which shows the different hardware that is being run on the forums
