Sounds interesting...perhaps a site like surveymonkey would suffice? A survey hosted by HWC would be great, but if its not possible it might be worth a look.

And keep in mind that as we all move on to new hardware the old stuff needs to be able to be deleted... Unless you just do a new one twice per year or something.

What you could do is whip up an app that when placed in the CPUZ directory and run, runs CPUZ and reads what it draws to the screen, encrypts it then uploads to a server somewhere.

How about data fields in our profiles, with drop-down boxes for each category, with pre-entered selections? A little like HWBot, perhaps, with auto-fill-in boxes? That would make it easy to pull up listings, and depending on whether you wanted to organize by individual part, family, or technology, produce generalized lists.

From this, you could also provide the option to discreetly list equipment under our names for each posts, rather than using some big-ass signature to do it.
