Did your videocard or main display die? How come you are running at 800x600?
I don't feel that content should be restricted, simply length and size.

I do like the idea of separating "rig" from "sig" though. For example, if someone wanted to turn off sigs and avatars while they were at work, but still be able to see the other's system specs.
