Default 4870 1GB

Can someone at Hardware Canucks do a review of a 4870 1GB?

I'd like to see it compared to 260 core 216 and GTX280 and others

Thank you

No problem. I will get one in ASAP since there seems like there is quite a bit of interest.

It's not that 1GB is needed these days, but it's definitely getting easier to break the 512MB mark. At 19x10, Far Cry 2 is using just shy of 600KB for me, hate to think what a 30" monitor would be demanding. Making the 4870X2 a 2GB card was definitely a smart move on ATI's part.

Honestly I am almost convinced he was being a little sarcastic when he said that, but I could be completely wrong.

You are wrong Eagle. I wasn't being sarcastic in the least. I take requests from members quite seriously and even though it is pretty far down the popularity / availability lists, it piques my interest as well.
