Default Vendor Related Threads

Maybe we should open up a section dedicated to vendor related threads, because I got a feeling that with the crack that newegg.ca is smoking there are going to be a lot of threads.

They want $250 for 2x1Gb Mushkin Redline ram, and I just paid $105 for 2x2Gb of the same at NCIX.

WOW! Even I have never been that high!

Their website isn't even live yet, they're prices will DEFINITELY change. They arn't going to show their real prices until launch day because that is just stupid.

I've got an account with them and there's nothing saying that I can't order at the present time. I priced out my current build (built in May 08) and every component that I found was 40% to over 100% higher. I don't care if you're open for business or not - that is very bad advertising.

As an average internet consumer, after seeing those prices, why would I ever check their site again? I, however, will monitor it and see if there are significant changes.

Yeah you can order but it hasn't been released to the general public. They're a big company, they've done their research. They know what they can and can't sell things for, and being double in price would never justify any form of service you get from them. There are no investors in the world who'd front a company who's business model was to just sell things for twice as much without justification; those prices will be cut insanely on their official launch day. It's simply a demo, with placeholder pricing. Thats why it's marked up so much so that no one orders.

wassap encorp.. hold on I'll say.. hey babes, smoke.hot :P..

You know I agree with what you said, I've posted the same exact message couple times, but people don't get it. It's still beta!! and no one displays original prices during a beta.. I'm sure there prices are going to be much less than that, because if they don't, their loosing their business as soon as they open..
