On other forums I'm on, in the list of pages to view (for multiple page threads) there is an option to 'View All' which loads the entire thread onto one page. Instead of having to view each page individually. It's very handy for long threads that have lots of pics, as well as searching my subscribed threads. Is that option available? and if not, why not?
I don't recall seeing that option on a vbulletin site before, but it does sound handy. Can you provide me with a link to a site using it and i'll look into it?
Sorry its' called (show all). I don't know how to tell what software forums use so I don't know if I'm comparing apples to apples but here's a link to a forum that has it. Hope that helps.
I've seen that feature in an SMF forum before. I'm not sure if there's a similar feature/mod for vBulletin, however, there is a workaround that you can do:
1. Go to the thread, click on Thread Tools -> Show Printable Version
2. If it spans multiple pages, you can click on Show 50 post(s) from this thread on one page
While this doesn't show -everything- on one single page, it should be more convenient than browsing through the actual thread pages.
You can also make 50 posts per thread your permanent user setting by:
1. going to User CP menu
2. click on User Options 3. scroll down to Thread Display Options -> set it to 50 or another number under "Number of Posts to Show Per Page"
