That’s likely best if you can wait.
Nehalem replaces the FSB with Quick Path Interconnect.

The important thing is its gets the memory off the FSB, one of the bigger system bottle necks.
Then Quads can get access to resources without waiting for each other.

At this point nothing have proven for Nehalem to even remotely be worthwhile at this point in time and someone making a statement like yourself should know this.

Its going to take a few years maybe more for something like Nehalem to becomes mainstream and affordable and usuable enough for most people to warrant the upgrade.

By the time this happens the next gen cpu will be out anyways.

We haven't even begun to touch the surface of dual core cpus let alone quad core processors.
