Default Reformatting HDD, What drivers do I need to install?

As the title says, I will be reformatting my hard drive. Once I reinstall Windows, what drivers will I need to install? I don't have any CD's for any drivers, I unfortunately lost them and I imagine the drivers will be old because I built my system around half a year ago.

Thanks so much!

Will you be installing Windows 10? If so, chances are the majority of drivers will install automatically once you're connected to the Internet.

If you're sticking to Windows 7 or older, then you should be able to go to the manufacturer site for each part and get drivers there.

Backup the folders below before format. Post format, any drivers not installed automatically or you're not able to download a driver for, try installing manually from the device manager. Point to the backups made and windows will install your old driver if it's compatible.

C:\Windows\System32\drivers
C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore
(if it exists) C:\Windows\System32\DRVSTORE

I am not sure how windows 10 works, but for myself I download the newest video card drivers and if I have a separate sound card I down load though also.

on a different not I also back up any settings for programs that I would be re installing which are found at C:\Users\(which ever user your using)\AppData.

Personally, I grab chipset and audio drivers from the manufacture's website. Windows 10 seems to be pretty good at grabbing the most recent drivers, but chipset drivers are often required to remove that one nagging unknown device in device manager, and the basic audio drivers W10 installs most often don't include the full audio control panel.

That's for a desktop.... if it's a laptop then grab every possible driver off of the website you can find.
