Default OCZ ARC 100 240GB SSD Review Comment Thread

OCZ's ARC 100 240GB combines the Barefoot 3 M10 controller with Toshiba's new A19nm NAND to create a value drive that gives more expensive SSDs a run for their money.

It seems like the value market is getting saturated.

I think the MX100 is still the stronger drive in this category though. It has power loss and limited data protection, something this drive does not have.

Hope to see the SSD prices keep falling though.

Nope. The MX100 240 and 120GB drives are much slower than the Arc 100's of the same size. The ARC 240GB'er favorably compares against the MX100 512GB drive. Basically the MX100 is a rather less than optimal series. The only one I would ever recommend are the 512GB version.

Default Graphics need help

Appreciate the hard work that goes into these reviews, never mind the cumulative efforts required to have product to make comparisons to. Used to be however that the graphics within the articles were quite legible and if they were a little less so could be clicked on to expand the graphic. Now we are presented with a number odd smeary messes that are difficult to read and sometimes impossible. Not good for a site with the quality of work you guys put out.

I am really tempted to get the 120GB version of the ARC 100.

Right now there may be better options....BX100 / MX200 for example.
