Default SY-PEX40039 with Asus ASUS F1-A75-M PRO/CSM? Best option?

Hey everyone,

It's been a while since I logged into here but I recently ran into a problem. I've got a close-to-two year old ASUS F1-A75-M PRO/CSM motherboard that only has 6 SATA ports on it.

One is used by my boot drive (SSD) and the other five are running drives for media storage. I'd like to add a drive or two more and not re-do the system since the A8-5400K I'm running is serving my purposes for media playback perfectly fine.

I was thinking about adding a SYBA SY-PEX40039 SATA3 card but I'm not sure if I'd get decent speeds or how I'd be best to install it. In my system, all PCI-E slots are empty (using on-board everything), so I was wondering if I can use the x16 slot as it's 2.0 for speed purposes or am I stuck using the x1 slot with the SATA2 speeds because of bottlenecking?

Motherboard specs and info here:

Thanks to anybody who can help me with this.

My System Specs

It will work just fine in either ports, x1 or x16.

Thank you for the reply and confirmation. ASUS also confirmed that this card should work as I'm not using Discrete Video.
