Default [SOLVED] I want my HDD to stop spinning!

Hello :) so, here's the story,,i got a new ssd, kingston 80 gigs and i installed windows on it,my hard drive is now in combo with it...

The problem is that my HDD is always spinning and making noise, even if there are no files on it :/ i reformatted it completly and it's still spinning... On the PC's i build for my mother and sister, the HDD is only spinning when opening it and becomes completly silent after a few mins when not using it.

Is there any way i can achieve that?

Not sure I totally follow what the problem is or the configuration but I'm glad you figured it out.

Well actually, when you have several drives in your system ( i guess that it's that),windows allows you to turn off the drive that does not have the OS on it,if the drive is not utilizied of course, and after idleing for a minute , it will stop 0db!

Turns back on when you open it!

Good to know. Mine seems to do this as well but I dont recall configuring it. Maybe I got lucky or it was just the order of the install etc.
