Missing Space?

when I reformatted, I had 95gb free of 120gb..

I've put some files on my SSD until I got a spare HDD to put all my stuff back into the other HDD that I accidently deleted.. now I transferred everything back on the spare HDD but I have only 58.2GB free space on my SSD, and I removed everything else..

let me know what info I can provide for you guys to help me.. because before reformatting my SSD, i had BF3 with all new add ons, lots of pictures and music on my SSD and i had ~40gb left, now with nothing installed, no game, music or photos.. i have 58.2GB left

Any help is appreciated

Try this utility Defraggler - Download

It will give a better idea of whats up with your drive.

My bets are on swap space.

or fragging.

Fragmentation does not result in loss of disk space.
I would suggest a program that shows what folder/files are using what space. I think I once used RidNacs and another one I have forgot the name of, but I do not know if it is considered good or not so YMMV.

Also, you do not need to defragment a SSD, and windows 8+your motherboard are new enough to support TRIM if you had a SSD that did not run it's own garbage collections routines.

:shok: DO NOT DEFRAG AN SSD!

Just in case I didn't read it wrong. I have heard that defragmenting your ssd is a serious no no.

1) Disable hibernatio as you have a ssd
2) Disable pagefile unless you have a mechanical drive to put it on
3) SxS directory probably chewing up space. Look in the folder
