question was this drive hooked up when Re-installed windows and had data on it and now it's blank ?

from boot-up disk install formats all data

to keep data you have run disk upset in a working windows environment

is that the issue your having

Hehe I thinkl that I mentioned that ( assigning a drive letter) but I am not that great at explaining things in detail.

This happens allot when installing win7 and extra drives.. it doesn't seem to like assigning drive letters unless you plug the drive in after. This however suits me as I like assigning certain letters to certain drives.

Wish I saw this earlier, would be the first thing to suggest if the drive is recognized but not showing in explorer.
