Exclamation "At Risk" HDD message on WD drive

I was messing with my daughters computer installing a printer and I noticed an error message and clicked on it. It said the HDD was "at Risk". I think the program was Intel's Rapid Storage Tech program but wasn't paying enough attention. When I tried to find out more the program gave me the drive's type, serial #, port, firmware, etc. but I have no idea what "At Risk" means or what I should do with it.

Does it mean the drive is failing? What should my next course of action be?

HDD is a WD1002FAEX-00Z3AO with firmware 05.01D05.

I reset the message and it came back once. Reset it again but then went to bed. Computer seems to be working fine other than that message.

HDD is failing. Use WD Tools or Seatools to do a Short/Long test on it.

That is the HD's S.M.A.R.T. technology telling you it is at risk, threw an error.

S.M.A.R.T. - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

I've had many drives do this over the years and not one of them actually failed. I now ignore this message.

You should always be doing backups anyways. HD fails, pop in a new one and restore. Simple.
