intel 520 firmware from bootable usb

intel firmware update sucks...

i tried to use yumi, multiboot, xboot and rufus.. but rufus said that iso is not bootable.. wtf << i think rufus is right because i see one single exe and one txt in that iso...

is it possible to update intel 520 from bootable usb? i really hope there is...

i mean i dont know if my new intel 520 from today is latest firmware to be ready to use...

Plug the drive in as a 'D' in a secondary rig. Download the Intel Toolbox. Install the toolbox. It will find the drive. Click the 'update firmware' button. It will tell you if you have the latest firmware installed.

I honestly dont think you can upgrade the firmware via USB....and honestly even if you could I would strongly recommend NOT doing it. When flashing the firmware you want to reduce the ways in which the Fickle Finger of Fate can finger you....not increase them. ;)

EDIT:
You can also just look at the label on the SSD itself. 400i is the latest version....and its been out a looooong time now. ;)
