okay i think its my turn to have a died ssd for first time...

i cant load into normal and safe mode... i saw blue screen very very quickly (not able to get all information)

is my ssd really died? i bought it um from um oct 2010? so 2 year?

ps i made a lot of thread because of stupid black screenscreen >_>

pps2, my hitachi 1k7(?)/seagate 7000.11 on mirror raid mode = still alive! no problem so far...

OCZ is known for more SSD failure than other brands :/ at least for last year...Now they seem te be ok.

Yeah with what you describe i think it's probably dead  try to boot from another drive.

It seems to be a bad couple months for SSDs....

I had my Corsair Neutron GTX die (only like 3 months old), an OCZ Petrol died before Christmas, and one of my friends has a flaky Vertex 4.

hmmm alright then what is better alternative to ocz verter? i am okay with 64 to 120 gb at um up to 150?

first thing first. pull the drive. leave it UNplugged -saying sitting on a desk - for at least 24hrs. Then try on a different rig. IF it works it probably will work until it really dies.

If its dead-dead some good options are Intel 520 (Intel are a majority of what I personally use in my own rigs), Crucial M4 (other personal choice), Sammy 830. Look for sales on Sammy 840 PRO (stay away from std 840). Other good options are the SanDisk Extreme. Its also good kit. :)

darn i wish to see your post very earlier... well be honest i think my ssd caused black screen+ frozen keyboard... (had this problem from um 1 year ago?) and i guess 2 years average lifetime for ssd... please correct me if i am wrong..

i will use your suggestion! i need... i mean i MUST get ssd by tomorrow... i need to finish my report or i have to re-write the shitty report ;[...

here is two video... 1 is for normal mode (same problem on safe mode tho) and other is um repair the window... but dont know if ssd is alive?)

I can report that after almost two years of use on my Crucial M4 64Gb and my Intel 320 series 40Gb, both are still reporting 100% health and have not given me any grief. They are in use as boot drives along with regular HDDs for storage.

i think last time i check ssd tweaker reported my ssd is 100% health... ;\

i dont think its accuracy... i dont know what kind of the damage is...

My dad has the same SSD on his computer. Died the same way as you described. I just went to get it RMA'd but it would cost me around $30 to shipped to CA and my dad already replaced it with an intel 320.

RMA if you want, but i just didnt bother.

Mushkin Chronos 60GB 2.5in SATA3 SandForce SF-2281 SSD Solid State Disk Flash Drive 60gb for 70cdn
ADATA SX900 2.5" 128GB SSD SATA 3 SandForce 2281 550MB/SEC Write and 530MB/SEC Read it uses 2281 SF for 105cdn

Kingston SVP200S37A/120G 120GB SSDNow V+200 SATA3 2.5 7MM Solid State Drive is this NOT 2281 SF? if its then great price for 100?

Intel 520 Series 120GB 2.5IN SSD MLC 25nm SATA3 Solid State Disk Flash Drive OEM for 115cdn (better deal than gb 60 for 90)
SanDisk Extreme 120GB 2.5in SATA3 6GB/S SandForce SF-2281 Solid State Disk Flash Drive SSD for 115cdn too?

samsung 840 pro is kinda expensive...

there is too many kind of crucial m4 so i dont want to check all...

but i think intel would be best choice... what do you think?
