Question Another SSD Thread Purchase Decision

Hello everyone. I am comparing the OCZ vector 256GB and the Samsung 250GB TLC drives. Does anyone have any opinions or personal experience yet with these drives? My Vertex 2 120GB drive is running out of space and I would like a larger system drive.

I personally am staying away from Tri Level Cell NAND until it has proven itself for -at the very least - one generation. There are too many ??? over durability / longevity and even long term performance. If you are looking at the 840 line, I would opt for the 840 Pro.

I think you made a good point on the Samsung TLC purchase. I'm doing more reading on the new OCZ Vector as it looks like OCZ is getting their game together for this product. I have never had any issues with the Vertex 2 I am currently running.

Samsung Pro. The Vector is good kit...but the Sammy is more well rounded.

Bought a 256g Pro a few weeks ago and love it so far. Will be picking up another for RAID when I can. As good as I had hoped it would be.

I'm playing with a 840pro now and love it so far. Might get to some benchmarks of it tonight after the game. Go Bruins Go!
