Western Digital may have faced adversity throughout the last year but if the new RE 4TB is any indication, they are back with a vengeance. This drive is geared towards the enterprise market segment and is one of the largest capacity HDDs around but has its narrow focus sacrificed features that would appeal to enthusiasts?

What about access times? The 2TB Caviar Black and the RE version of that had an average access time of around 11.8ms to 12ms average thanks to the peizo assist servo.

What about this 4TB RE? I'm curious if the increased data density has affected it.
