Default Dead drives after psu swap?

So i swapped my chieftec 750w unit for an xfx 850 unit just the other day. It all worked out just swell until i tried opening my steam folder which was located on another drive. My SSD is working just fine, but my WD 500gb and my samsung 1tb aren't detected in windows or the bios. I tried using the chieftec PSU which didn't do anything. Am i going to have to get new drives? What troubleshooting steps have i missed? I tried both psu's, i tried starting my computer with one drive connected at a time and i tried different sata ports on the mobo. The damn things won't even spin up. Anything i can try other than putting the drives in the freezer? (Which i'd rather not)

How would that happen? As soon as i can get my hands on a multimeter i'll give it a shot. I'm assuming i'll have to replace them both?

Where would i be able to get those? Can't find any :/ What could have caused the problem though? The cable? The PSU?
