SSD in external usb 3.0 enclosure
 
is it a waste to put a sata III ssd into external usb 3.0 enclosure?
will this be faster then a normal 5400rpm external hhd in external usb 3.0 enclosure?
also will usb 3.0 be able to max out the ssd speed?

Well the max out depends on the SSd I have 2 SSd's in usb3 case and I use them for running games off of and I was very happy performance was down right wicked my2cents

It'll be waaayyy faster than any HDD as long as you have a proper Intel USB3 controller on the motherboard. A good USB3 is a bit faster than SATA2, but still not as fast as SATA3.
