Sooo how big a dent in the wallet would 4 of these in a RAID 5 make? ;) Though in all honesty I am sooo getting me one of those!

Another review: Western Digital Velociraptor 300GB SATA HD - HotHardware & Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000BLFS | StorageReview.com Certainly an awesome drive. The only downside is: [...] be aware, because the WD Velociraptor is not a standard 3.5" SATA drive, its connectors are not in the same position as other drives. That makes the Velociraptor incompatible with virtually all external hard drive enclosures, DIY NAS boxes, etc. |

Theirs actually a few reviews of it but I want to see the final finished product specs and some real benchmarks on the retail versions maybe some firmware tweeks to give it just a bit more cause I have a feeling its gonna be pricey . Glad to see they got 300GB in it though.

That's pretty cool.... It looks like a 10,000RPM SCSI from IBM, cause they have little 2.5" ones too. I like the inclusion of the heatsink, but I think mounting one with some elastics or something would allow it to cool just as well, with it being nice and quiet

Finally a large enough drive from WD Raptor series I have been looking at new HDDs for a while and I will spare no expense for 2 of these in raid 0.
