Default SSD and imaging

Not to often where I run into this, but has anyone bricked a SSD from imaging?

Got a new SSD in for a desktop, had a image backup of the desktop and started to dump that onto the SSD. I assume this was just a DOA but thought I would ask if anyone else has run into this.

My System Specs

Might have been a bad Image or Bad drive? Proabably a DOA. First time I've heard of a Dead drive from an image. I just finished doing one from a Raptor to a Chronos with no issues.

I've had to deal with Intel's 8 MB bug, but drive imaging failure seems odd. I'm assuming that you previously shrunk the hard drive partition prior to creating the image, if not, that could be the problem, or just bad luck.

Used Acronis, had another SSD sent over night and it imaged fine. I am putting this up to DOA. Still had an oh crap moment when it died, of "oh hell I broke it".
