SATA III Cables
So I've ordered a pair of 128GB OCZ Vertex 4 SSD's which, of course, use a SATA III interface. I'm using some 'Left-Angle' SATA cables (linky) to connect to my current SATA II drives since these allow for much easier cable routing in my Corsair 500R case.
It says these cables are rated up to 300 MB/s. Granted, the cable may be de-rated as they lacked a SATA III drive at the time and/or haven't updated the page. But, I am wondering if any one has tried using any cable advertised as SATA II on a SATA III drive. With a bit of googleing, some say it should be OK to use and not worry about it. Others say the SATA III cables need better shielding.
If anyone has some experience they can share, it would be much appreciated. I'd like to keep my current cables since they fit nicely, but I just want to be sure I won't run into any problems. Thanks in advance! :)
SATA cables are all the same, you'll be fine.
