Post WD Velociraptor 160GB... solved.. shanks ^D^

Hi there!!!
I am very very interested in getting a faster harddrive for my current build, however, I am a little confused by the description of this HDD on Ebay. The Harddrive is a WD Velociraptor 160GB and I want to know if it is a SATA 3 drive and if so, can I use it with a SATA 2 header on the motherboard. please help me!!!!! :d
here is the model number: WD1600HLFS

★★ WD VelociRaptor 10000 RPM 3.5" 160GB SATA HDD ★ Western Digital WD160HLFS | eBay

ps: I am in Australia...so yeah :D

pps: Sorry if someone has already asked this, I'm not good at finding things in Forums.. :/

the ebay description isn't very good. but it is a sata 2 @ 3 gb/s
the drive isn't bad for an upgrade, but if your looking for speed an ssd is really the way to go since your not looking for a huge amount of space, the price may not be all that bad.

personally I wouldn't touch a second-hand drive.. you don't know if there is any issues at all or how much use it's had.

get yourself a cheap SSD, the WD isn't that fast compared to many other HDD's and not a touch on even the cheapest of ssd's

Thanks for the quick response guys :D
I'm going to go with the Velociraptor mainly because I need the 100gb + of space for my video files (I do a lot of Visual FX work) and at the same price point I would only be able to get a 32gb ssd. I will most definitely upgrade to an ssd in the future when I have the budget for it.
again, thanks heaps for the advice :D

This... get a standard hdd new or a ssd for speed... one or other... I would not use second hand drive unless I knew the owner personally..
