Default Best SSD for Boot Drive?

Hello,

I am thinking of installing a boot drive and want enough space to store Windows7, MacOSX, and Linux and some leeway to store other programs (~10GB worth, maybe more).

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

I'd guess you're looking at a 120GB if you want some breathing room on the drive. My preferred brands are Intel and Crucial - others have their favorites.

you definitely need around 120gb ... maybe 90 is fine ? -- don't take chances becuase you might need more space later on.

i also prefer intel, however im using OCZ vertex 3 120gb and i love it =D

I'm using Intel 520 60GB.
I installed win 7 64bit with SP1 with updates and turned off hibernation ... 18.54 GB used
60GB is enough.

Nice, I just bought a 520/120gb and am installing 7 on it. I am not sure how much space I will end up with yet but I found it odd that the system reserved 9 gb.

There are a few guides I found helpful to squeezing space out of your SSD
Tweaks: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...weak,2911.html
Using a secondary drive for User folders: How to: Setup SSD boot drive with secondary Hard disc optimization
I'm using a 60GB SSD as a boot drive, and those 2 guides really helped squeeze a load of space, I believe after installing windows and following the guides I had only used about 16-18GB, not exactly sure how much.
