SD card question (for photographers?)

Just got a little camera for an up coming vacation so we don't have to carry around the bulky DSLR everywhere. FWIW I p/u a canon elph 300hs and I've only played with it a bit but can't believe this was $160.... Gotta love technology!

Anyway I need an SD card for it. Looking at prices I was thinking on getting a 32GB and there's lots of them out there. Most around the $30ish mark (class 10's) but they can get over $100 which seems ridiculous. But it makes me question what the difference is. As long as I get a card from a reputable manufacturer like Kingston or Lexar for example, is there any real tangible difference between them?

Thanks,
Ryan

Its mostly the Class of the card.

For small point and shoot just get the cheapest you can find.

Class really makes a difference in DSLR when your shooting RAW.
