the 3x QNAP TS-659 Pro+ i am currently replacing with TS-859 Pro+

each one runs 6x2tb in RAID 6 for 24TB of raw storage..

moving to 8x2tb in RAID 6 will give me 36TB of raw storage.. need that 12tb boost soon

i anticipate that once i get the second 859 up, it will probably last me til christmas time..

need to plan out the next round of upgrade already.. debating to go "balls to the wall" and get a 12 bay synology and the 12 bay expansion box for 24 drive RAID 6..

Great setup, I love the 859U-RP+ (rackmount with redundant power supplies) that I have for work. QNAP makes top notch kit.

yes they are.. once you get one, you will never go to another brand.. they are well build and the interface is very solid

the support forum is good, etc..

How's your storage space? are the 3 - 859s gonna last til xmas?
or are you already out?
