Default SSD's on SATA2?

Hi does SATA2 compares to SATA3 for SSDs? Does the 3gbps hinder an SSD's maximum potential?

My System Specs

generally, if you're getting a sata iii drive, yes.
sata iii drives are capable of higher bandwiths than the limit of sata ii.
however, it shouldn't be a reason not to buy an ssd.

thanks guys, I just installed the SSD today, but for some reason I am missing 30gb of disk space. It says 80gb free out of 120gb after disabling page file, and hibernation. The only thing i have install so far is windows and it only takes 10.7gb
