A sata data cable, free sata port on your mobo and a not in use (aka "free") sata power cable on your power supply.

Will a 6GB/s SATA cord work on a 3gb/s Hard Drive?

yes. hi.

Yup they are backwards compatible. In fact I usually use 6'ers instead of the older 3'ers regardless of the storage unit....as they are a higher grade cable...and it makes things sooo much easier only having to have ONE pile of cables instead of TWO. ;)
