Default Corsair SSD differences

Greetings! First forum post, so please forgive if this information is elswhere on the site. Still reading through the mountains of information here!

Corsair 60G SSD's come in two model numbers: F60GB3-BK and F60GB3A-BK.

Can someone tell me the difference between the two, and if one is better with regards to speed and long-term use?

Thanks.

IIRC -"A" means it uses 25nm NAND, whereas the older ones use 32nm. Good luck finding anything besides the "A" model.

With that being said why are you going with such an OLD model? The original Force model uses the SF1200 controller. Force 3 uses SF2281. Performance 3 / Performance Pro uses Marvel 2nd gen controller (same with Crucial M4, Intel 510). ANY of these would be better options for all but the most ancient of systems.

YMMV

It was my understanding that the F60GB3A-BK model is the Force 3 model that uses the SF-2281.

This is what I'm considering buying:

I was asking because the same site also lists the non-A model, though it is currently out of stock:
