Default Blue

I have an LG BH12LS38 blue ray writer purchased a day ago.Now i have to write my movies which i download into dvd's.I have 25GB dvd purchased.Now some says that blueray dvd's does not write or play avi flies etc ,it only plays blueray movies.Is it true?I will just burn them into 25gb dvd's and then copy it into my another computer.Should i do that?It will be playable again or not?

If you're asking if you can write avi files to a bluray and play it back on another PC, yes you can. On a bluray player? No.
