PCIe SSD vs SATA3 ssd
 
Is there a performance difference or practicality differences between the PCIe SSD like revodrive or Vertex 3 SSD?

i would say no

There is a performance difference yes. However, it comes at a price. The new R3's can technically pass TRIM but its up to MS to rewrite their drivers so it can get them. They also use more CPU power. While the x2 uses much more than the std RevoDrive 3 - and costs a lot more - you can see the pros and cons of it here (that other review is on the ancient RevoDrive 1):

yup

i think its like 1000.00 for that thing ?

its mostly meant for web servers etc
i know i had read reviews on the older one on newegg , some ppl not very happy after a few months....

About 7 bills for the small one. But yup, they be EXPENSIVE.
