Default Intel 510 or wait for 520?

Hi everyone,

I currently own an Intel 510 series 120Gb. I am pretty satisfied with the performance but I quickly ran out of space. I now want to buy maybe anoth 120Gb or a 250Gb from the same series. The 250 is faster but costs a few arms and 2 or 3 legs.

I also runned into an article saying series 520 is comming. Should I wait or should I buy that 510 series?

So far my choices

1) Stick with one 250Gb (selling my 120Gb)
2) Get an additional 120Gb
3) Get an additional 250Gb
4) The same variant as 1, 2 and 3 but with the 520 series.

It is running on an ASUS P8P67-PRO. Full system specs here : Gaming PC - Need your opinion

Btw, on that mobo, Marvell controller was slowing the drive (.2 experience index). Plug it on the native Intel controller (gray) SATA ports.

Thanks.

520 is Sandforce and I am not honestly a fan of them at the moment. Stick w/ the 510.

I hear your point.

Can you elaborate on why you don't like Sandforce?

Is this still just speculation based on the drive capacities, or has this been confirmed?
