Default Intel SSD Toolbox Version 2??

Hello all
Sorry but I've been away for a while and basically put my computer in the closet for a year. Now that I have it up and running again I see that Intel has a new (at least to me) version 2 of the SSD toolbox, and has new firmware 102M3. Has anyone found it to be a necessary upgrade to the new tool box and firmware? Sorry for the nooby question but I've got a lot of catching up to do. I have a X25-M G2 80 gb. drive
Thanks

Well I didn't get a response to my questions so I updated the firmware on my SSD to 02M3 and I loaded the new SSD toolbox Ver. 2 and all seems well but I do have another question if there's anybody out there?

Is the new driver for the Intel Matrix Rapid storage technology necessary (10.6.0.1022)? Also the instructions in the toolbox say that with Win 7 in AHCI that the the OS has native support that the tool box is not necessary? Could somebody please explain this to me? I thought I had a handle on it before I went overseas but after a year I'm not so sure anymore. I'd like to set up my SSD properly and hopefully forget about it.
Thanks
Jim
